Attach the brackets to the new element and mount.Close the glass top and test. You will need to cut and splice the old wire and add the connector because it won’t fit on the new element.Step 5: add the wires based on your notes and the new element label locations.The wires wont reach so you will need to rotate the element to create slack. Remove brackets from old element.Step 4: buy 1 female spade connector. Remove the old element But take note of the holes the brackets came out of. 1a,2a,1b,2b etc not the actual location because the new element will not be the exact same posts. ![]() The zap I got was pretty substantial.Step 2: take a picture of the wiring and how it connects to the old element.Step 3: write down where the colors connect the the terminals.
